Designed by Swedish musician Martin Molin, the Wintergatan “Marble Machine” is a musical device that functions using 2,000 marbles and a hand crank.
The machine is made of a combination of hand-made wooden components, pulleys, funnels and tracks for the marbles, as well as several integrated instruments. All together, each piece serves a purpose in helping to create a pleasant melody.

As you may have noticed in the video above, the beautiful music-playing machine is extremely elaborate.
According to Molin, the one-of-a-kind instrument took over a year to create and assemble. You can learn more about how Molin made the marble machine on his YouTube page here.
